Who says you can't find love on Tinder???? Not these two since that's how they met...
I first met this couple for their engagement session, we hadn't booked the wedding as they were to be married in Cabo, but wanted a local photographer to capture some first moments together......
They were so nervous in meeting them, as I started to set our stuff down and find the perfect spot to start, I helped Alana with her bags... as I grabbed it, I heard clinking glass.... they both giggled like school age kids afraid to get in trouble, when I looked in the bag.... low and behold, BEER!!! They were so nervous they brought a few beers with them to lighten the mood but didn't know how I would feel so they hid the bottles.... HELL YEAH I said, lets crack those beers... I tease them to this day about it
It ended up being such a great way to break the ice and lighten the mood....
So just an FYI..... you don't need to hide yours beers :)
First date.....
Christian and Alana were both attended UCSB, After talking for some time on Tender, these tow decided it would be cool to meet up and hang out.....
For the first date, they went out for frozen yogurt and had a really nice time. It was sweet and simple and a great chance to get to know each other.

Covid 2020
Covid hit, and travel was unknown and weddings and events were postponed or canceled....
and one day I received a message from Alana stating that their destination wedding wasn't going to take place after all and they decided they would do an intimate wedding here in Cali.... needless to say I was SO EXCITED.... I mean, total selfish reasons, as I know they were heartbroken to not have the wedding they planned, but hey, I get to shoot it now and I couldn't wait.
"The Proposal
was short and sweet. I was extremely nervous and could barely talk but I was very excited. We were at Disneyland (her favorite place) and I asked a passerby to take a picture of us, then got on one knee. The bystander was an angel and flipped to video so really a nice moment." - Christian

" I have been dreaming of a Disneyland proposal since I was a kid, so it was a dream come true. They whole day was perfect, and I ugly cried a little bit even though I knew it was coming. I'm so happy I have pictures of this moment it was just lovely."
The Happy couple....
With this being a smaller wedding, we had a ton of time after the ceremony, for Bride and Groom formals.... after taking some at the Beautiful Santa Barbara Court House (STUNNING) we jumped in my car and took off to the Beach, where they spent a lot of their time while dating.
So walking around campus, they had mentioned their favorite pizza joint,,,,,@pizzamyheart , so I say, " Hey, lets go grab a beer and see if we can get some quick photos"
Well, they were closed!!!! But, you guys are in wedding attire, someones is inside prepping.... so Needless to say.... The manager was GLAD to let them in, and poor some beers for them.... even gave them a t shirt .... seriously so freakin RAD and check out the images we got. Christian and Alana were on cloud nine.... never even thinking about taking pictures in there, but after, knowing those would be the ones that would they would treasure, with all the memories in that place... and wrapping up with the wedding photos. So if you ever close.... hit them up for a slice and a pint!!
