So this Summer was pretty cool, shooting a few weddings of people that I am close with in my personal life. Which is pretty awesome to not just be a guest, but be a part of the behind the scenes.
James and Tayler, have been together for almost 10 years. And actually met on MySpace…. remember MySpace….. and the wedding was far from traditional, but SO fitting to them. I always push my couples to do what makes them happy and these two truly did.
They had a long distance relationship while James was in the Military, and managed to stay together.
So, I think I mentioned before, this was not a “traditional” wedding….. and I LOVED everything about it, why? Because it was them. There were so many laughs…. and comments, and well, lets just say the ceremony….. yeah, we were dying with laughter
But weddings should be what you want them to be. You don’t have to throw a bouquet, do a money dance, or any of that other formal stuff, if that’s not what you truly want. I love those things and I love when couples choose those things, when that’s what they want, and that what it boils down to, what YOU both want. Thats what matters at the end of the day.
